This year we bypassed having a big party since we were taking Sully to a Kings game and Disneyland within the same week of each other. I still wanted to do a little something on his actual birthday though, so we had my family over, a few friends and our neighbors across the street whose son happens to be Sully's bff.
It was nice and low-key being able to hang out with everyone instead of running around like maniacs trying to prepare for a large crowd. Seriously, it was so much nicer.
The jersey. This tradition started when I was 20 weeks pregnant and we found out we were having a little boy. The first thing Shaun ever bought was a L.A. Kings baby onesie for him. Since then, every year on his birthday Shaun has bought Sully a new jersey with the coordinating year of his age. Its really cool to see them all lined up on his wall as he's getting older.
Hockey cupcakes for school!
A little morning pick up game the day of his birthday with his BFF.
My creeper mom and sister photo bombing Sully's cake picture. He wanted a Thomas Cake. We usually make his cake, but to save time I bought it. $40.00 for this little thing! Never again
Everyone singing happy birthday to the birthday boy. Four, I can't believe it!
