Daddy did good this birthday. He scored us seats about 8 rows up to a hockey game that had Sully's two favorite teams playing each other. Sully's little bff happens to have an uncle who plays on the Columbus Blue Jackets. Because of this, they have become Sully's second favorite team, behind the Kings of course.
We didn't tell him until right before we were going. And he didn't know who the Kings were playing. Seriously, I thought his little head was going to explode. He didn't know who to cheer for!
We had a couple of cute girls behind us that doted on Sully the entire night. Their mom gave him fruit snacks. He ended up on the jumbo tron screen dancing with the girls behind him. We saw his coach, Coach Pat from hockey there that night. And he got something we never, ever, ever give him .... soda.
It seriously unleashed the beast.
Oh and we won. And daddy got street food. And Sully left with a major sugar buzz and hockey high.
I think it was a solid birthday present.
