8 months

My my its been awhile.

I'm mainly over on Facebook these days, but for the few that I keep in touch with still via the Space, I figured I'd post a short little update.

Sully is almost 8 months old - yes, eight. I can't believe it. Before I know it I'll be saying I can't believe that he's 8 years old.

Crawling will soon be a thing of the past. Our bets are that by Christmas, if not shortly there after he'll be walking. He stands on everything and cruises with the help of the couch, toy buckets, boxes or anything else he can get his hands onto. He's discovered the stairs now and can climb up them, lord help us. We're both already finding gray hairs as it is. He also chases the dogs now and I'm convinced that he thinks he is one. I found him the other morning eating the dog kibble in the kitchen and then later with a dog bone in his mouth. He takes their toys away, and likes to feed them his biscuits. He loves getting dirty, hates being cleaned up & dressed - basically all boy, and I love it.

He talks like crazy, the occasional Mamamamamamama and Dadadadadadadad followed by a ton of spitting sounds, so I don't think it really qualifies yet as Mommy and Daddy, just fun sounds. His favorite thing to do these days is take baths. He really enjoys being in the water, and I'm looking forward to swim lessons this next summer coming.

We finally got to take him to his first Hockey game - full circle. He did AWESOME considering he sat for almost 4 hours. Shaun got him his first hockey stick and he loved it.

All and all we're doing great. Looking forward to spending this holiday with family and friends and our little guy during his first Christmas. Next thing we'll know it'll be time to start planning his birthday (exciting!). Then Shaun and I will be off to our first vacation without Sully (eeek!). Mexico here we come .... well, maybe not quite yet.
